Eurovision 2011 - Analysis from the Great Final (3)
And finally to end my little post review of the Results of the last ESC edition, let’s start with the last but at the same time the first 5 places on the scoreboard ;)
Y finalmente para terminar mi pequeño pos reseña sobre los resultados de la última edición de Eurovision Song Contest, vamos a comenzar con los últimos pero a la vez, los 5 primeros puestos de la tabla de posiciones final ;)
5th PLACE: (03) Denmark – A Friend In London – New Tomorrow
I felt in love with this rock tune from the very first beginning I heard it, they just had all the ingredients of a really memorable tune, besides the lyrics is full of nice things, the most I adore is “and your weapon is your voice”. There were two song with the same theme, this one and the Romanian one, but I knew it that this one was the best one, and Europe was agreed with me ;). In my top5, this one was the 5/5, so I guessed it xD.
Me enamoré de este rocksito desde la primera vez que la escuché, ellos simplemente tuvieron todos los ingredientes para una muy recordable canción, además la letra está llena de muchas cosas buenas, la parte que más adoro es “Y tu arma es tu voz” había dos canciones con el mismo tema, ésta y la Rumana, pero sabía que ésta era la mejor y Europa estuvo de acuerdo conmigo ;) En mi top5, esta era la 5ta, así que adiviné! xD
4th PLACE: (23) Ukraine – Mika Newton – Angel
Don’t be so deaf and blind, she had one of the best voices of this contest, so she was placed in this high spot of the scoreboard, not only for that amazing graphics made live thanks to Kseniia Simonova and her magical sand ability, but also because of Mika’s voice Ukraine always does well because they are big fans of the ESC and they always try to send quality in every single way, so well done Ukraine, I think some old ESC contestants should learn something about them. Talking about everything, what place would Ukraine have reached if they have sent to Jamala or Zlata… Maybe a better or a worse place?
No sean sordos y ciegos, ella tenía una de las mejores voces de este año, así que obtuvo este puesto en la tabla de posiciónes, no sólo por las maravillosas imágenes hechas en vivo gracias a Kseniia Simonova y su mágica habilidad con la arena, sino porque Mika canta muy bien. Ucrania siempre lo hace bien porque ellos son grandes fans del evento y siempre tratan de enviar calidad en todo sentido, así que bien hecho Ucrania, creo que muchos de los viejos participantes de ESC deberían aprenderle algo a ellos. Hablando de todo un poco, dónde hubiera puesto a Ucrania con Jamala o Zlata, será que les hubiera ido mejor?.
And Now the Top3
3rd PLACE: (07) Sweden – Eric Saade – Popular
It was not my cup of tea, I am a big lover of Sweden and you can notice that reading all my blog posts, but I didn’t feel so much with this song, even though, I have to say that the sound was amazing, but the lyrics just sucks, it says nothing interesting, but what made that Eric got that place in the final, was just himself, he is a showman and I can’t deny it, he did the effort to give his body and soul on stage and “viola”, he reached the best place in a decade for Sweden beating big names like Carola and Lena Philipsson until that date, the best for Sweden in recent ESC history of the country. Maybe if Sweden sends him once again in a couple of years with a better song and maybe with her girlfriend in a duet, they can get the event back to Globen ;)
No era de mis favoritas, soy un gran amante de Suecia y lo pueden notar leyendo mi blog, pero no sentía mucho con esta canción, aunque tengo que decir que el sonido era maravilloso, pero la letra era un asco, no dice nada interesante, pero lo que hizo que Eric obtuviera este lugar en la final fue el mismo, él es un showman y eso no lo puedo negar, él hizo lo posible para ser el mejor en el escenario y pues miren, lo logró, alcanzó la mejor casilla que haya tenido Suecia en una década superando grandes nombres como Carola y a Lena Philipsson, hasta la época las mejores por el país escandinavo, en la historia reciente del mismo en ESC. De pronto si Suecia envía a Saade una vez más en unos años con una mejor canción y tal vez con su novia en un dueto, podrían conseguir llevar el evento de regreso a Globen ;)
Runner-up: (12) Italy – Raphael Gualazzi – Madness of love
14 years had to pass since the tri color flag from the italic boot waving back in an Eurovision Song Contest Stage, they decided wisely to come back during the hosting of one but the most powerful countries of the selected Big 5 group. I think all the Europeans missed so much one of the best from my side of see the things, because I have to say that maybe one of the things that made that Italy withdraws from the ESC event was that they always have sent quality and big names reaching top10, but just winning twice, so they’re just fed up and stop taking part… But they got it, and after 14 years of being the Giant Dreamer watching win countries from old ESC and newcomers, they woke up and after many conversations with the executive producer and other people from EBU, they just said “yes” and on its own way pick up the singer and song for the event. At the beginning Raphael was not of my taste, actually I wanted Nathalie, that is why I banned Italy’s entry for a while, but then I listened carefully that piece of art and I personally placed it in my top15, never watching him as the winner, maybe in a top10, hey it was Italy in its coming back, they deserved a good place to keep them on race, well, you did it, ahd gave it the 2nd place, after its las top5, back in 1997 with duet Jalisse. Not too bad ;) I have to add that maybe one of the most remarkable person that helped in the miracle to have back to Italy was nobody else that the big Raphaella Carrà.
14 años tuvieron que pasar para volver a ver la bandera de los 3 colores de la bota itálica ondeándose en un escenario del concurso de la Canción de Eurovision. Decidieron sabiamente volver durante el evento realizado en uno sino el más poderoso de los países del selecto grupo del “Big 5”. Creo que Europa extrañaba mucho a uno de los mejores a mi modo de ver las cosas, porque tengo que decir que una de las cosas que pudo hacer que Italia se retirara del Concurso fue que ellos siempre enviaron calidad y grandes nombres y sólo lograban top10 y simplemente 2 victorias, así que simplemente se cansaron de hacer parte de él… Pero lo entendieron y 14 años siendo el gigante dormido viendo ganar a los países de la vieja escuela y a los nuevos, despertaron, y después de la intervención directa de la EBU y el productor Ejecutivo del concurso, simplemente dijeron “sí” y su propio estilo escogieron a su representante y canción para el evento. Al principio no me gustó Raphael ,p que yo quería a Nathalie, por eso veté el acto italiano por un tiempo, pro luego la escuché bien y me encontré con una muy buena canción y en mi top personal la ubiqué dentro de las 15 primeras, nunca lo ví ganando, pero si en un top10, Oe! Es Italia en su regreso después de tanto tiempo, merecía un muy buen lugar en la final para así mantenerlos en el juego, bien, uds lo hicieron y le dieron el 2do lugar, y después de su último top5, 14 años atrás 4tos con su dueto Jalisse, nada mal ;) Tengo que añadir que una de las persona que hizo posible el regreso de Italia al Evento Europeo fue nada más y nada menos que la misma Raphaella Carrà.
