Melodifestivalen 2012 Review: Andra Chansen

Hello, this is gonna be the first time I’ll talk about any “Andra Chansen” so far…

I’m gonna talk about it by groups, the first two duels and semi and then, the other two and the second semi, because I think it’s more easy in that way. Here I go…

DUEL 1:
DYNAZTY – “THE LAND OF BROKEN DREAMS” VS TOP CATS – “BABY DOLL”

Dynazty’s song is power, in my post about their Deltävling (semi) I wrote, I like this kind of songs and groups because it rules hahahahaha… But, we’re living a kind of “want to live retro” in our present and Top Cats’ rockabilly was more and they defeated Dynazty’s rock tune. Top Cats became in the first semifinalist of 1s semifinal.
Let’s see the video of the less lucky during televoting (a.k.a. Loser)

DUEL 2:
ADREAS JOHNSON – “LOVELIGHT” VS TIMOTEIJ – “STORMANDE HAV”

I wanted both in the final, but mister Björkman (Melodifestivalen’s producer) fixed everything to do not let them be in the final.
Andreas’ song was kinda great! I love his cool song, that makes you happy and he has a great voice, but Swedes are tired of them and send him home.
Timoteij’s song was good but not great, even though, they reached the first semifinal with a good performance, I don’t know I could find a link or bow with their song this time, despite of that I want them in Final! XD

SEMIFINAL 1
TOP CATS – “BABY DOLL” VS TIMOTEIJ – “STORMANDE HAV”

A battle of groups and both from Second Semifinal (Deltävling) 2; one with male members and their rockabilly and the other one with girls and their folkpop music, well at the end of the televoting both male and rockabilly won, and the 4 girls went home.
Here Timoteij’s performance.

(The winner’s performance of this semifinal would be post later in this post)

AND NOW THE GRUOP 2

DUEL 3:
THORSTEN FLINCK & REVOLUTIONSORKESTERN – “JAG RESER MIG IGEN” VS. LOTTA ENGBERG & CHRISTER SJÖRGREN – ”DON’T LET ME DOWN”

The battle of old glories and schlager were held and the King and Queen of that genre were defeat but our King of Eternety, the favourite Swedes’ vampire; Thorsten Flinck XD
Last time Queen and King of Schlager were by themselves went to the final, this time they got back home.

DUEL 4:
SEAN BANAN – “SEAN THE FÖRSTE BANAN” VS YOUNGBLOOD “YOUNGBLOOD”

Actually it was the “young blood” duel, both acts were the new ones in running and the soloist were the strongest one who came from Deltävling 1, Youngblood made it to the Andra, just to fill up the spot, their song had nothing to do there, horrible song! Of couse the winner was Sean Banan with his funny and full of joy performance.

SEMIFINAL 2
THORSTEN FLINCK & REVOLUTIONSORKESTERN – “JAG RESER MIG IGEN” VS SEAN BANAN – “THE FÖRSTE BANAN”

Nordic prince of the darkness vs Prince of Persian lands, both form the 2nd semifinal most voted by Swedes, the most voted was the 4th. Ok, Nordic prince of the darkness won this semi what let us clear who was the 3rd in their semi, Thorsten Flinck, I use names just to have fun, I think Thorsten leaves body and soul on stage and Sean Banan was a great contender because he is really funny, something freak but really nice.

SO TILL GLOBEN

9th QUALIFIER: TOP CATS – “BABY DOLL” from semifinal (Deltävling) 2.

10TH QUALIFIER: THORSTEN FLINCK & REVOLUTIONSORKESTERN – “JAG RESER MIG IGEN” from Semifinal (Deltävling) 1.

ANDRA CHANSEN DATA

Eurovision 2017: My General Top42 before all the Lights Get On (1s Part)

It's Eurovision Time and there are tops on line from the whole world, well, sometimes I made mine, and this year, I've been working on that too.
Here are the first delivery of what is my point of view according to the first listening and the song itself, let’s start this….

42. LITHUANIA
The singer has a great attitude and she can deliver a good version live of the song but the main problem is the buildup of the song itself, what is that?!

41. GEORGIA
I think she has one of the best voices of this year, the message of the song is good but I cannot stand the old-fashioned of this song, maybe if it had had some modern instrumentation it would work much better at first listening.

40. ISRAEL
Most of the fans are going to hate me, but I cannot find a gap in this song, I know it’s an up-tempo and he has a nice voice but it wasn’t enough to captivate me at first. Maybe in rehearsals or in his semifinal will make me change my mind, but it’s still not my cup of tea.

39. ALBANIA
It’s too dram…

Eurovision 2017: My General top42 Before All the Lights Get On (3d Part)

I'm going to divide the last 14 places into two parts. Here are the places 14 to 8:
14. NORWAY
Aleksandr Walmann has great vocals and JOWST one of the best mixes of the year. It will depend on what they have to performance it. I love the song and it was one of my favs from MGP this year.I’d like to see Aleksandr by himself in future too.

13. ESTONIA
Verona is a nice retro-eighties-song. Despite I cannot really find chemistry between the singers the song itself it’s really good. The risk will be in his vocals, Laura sings pretty well, but Koit could be penalized with his, I’m afraid.

12. SWITZERLAND
Flawless voice and great live performance, I hope they can make a great show live using a good backdrop and nice graphics that helps to sell their song. Switzerland could be placing really well this year, a top10 for sure if they have all the ingredients ready.

11. NETHERLANDS
For 5th year in a row, The Netherlands sends a song I like since I hear at first time. I love the harmonies of the t…

Eurovision 2017: My General Top42 before All the Lights Get On (2nd Part)

I wanted to post my top42 before the rehearsals, I could not make it but I will post it before the Shows are broadcasted.
28. SWEDEN
I’m a Swedish lover, but I cannot build a bridge with Bengtsson’s song, I know he has a great live show but I cannot stand the song itself. For me is not a winner, nor a top10 for Sweden. Sorry Sweden for second year in a row I won’t be crossing my fingers for you, but I aware you’ll be in the final.

27. IRELAND
It’s a nice 90’s-early-00’s ballad song, but I did not feel in love with it at first listening, 7th time winner of Eurovision is still lost for my taste despite I love its entries back in 2010, 2014 and 2015 ;).

26. AUSTRALIA
After the amazing Dami Im I was a bit disappointed about this song once I heard it at first time, I kinda like it but without being my ultimate favorite, I like it but I will not regret if they did not get through the final.

25. CZECHIA
I like it since the first listening but being realistic, it has not a strong gap that makes you …
