¿Por qué todos contra Suecia?

Image

SWITZERLAND – “UNBREAKABLE” – SINPLUS (SF1-07) The Swiss bid this year is really good one and despite it was chosen early last December, it was made in the best way that I still love it since then, I love it! And I hope it goes thru the final. It’s simply Great! That Alternative Rock hooked me, it has strength, they’ve worked their voices and I really love it, if it doesn’t pass to the fin

Eurovision 2012: Romania | Rumania

Image
ROMANIA – “ZALEILAH” – MANDINGA (SF1-06) "Spanglish", this year by Romania, they’re maybe winking to one of their language sisters; Spanish or to the Spanish televoting who always vote them very well, who knows?! The song is an excellent mix, even though, the lyrics kinda sucks in meaning; the song is very enjoyable mostly in its rhythm but sadly the leading voice; the girl’s is really weak live so their live performance won’t be

Eurovision 2012: Portugal

Image
POTURGAL – “VIDA MINHA” – FILIPA SOUSA (SF2-06) “Life of mine”: Without any doubt one of the best and a deserving one to go thru yes or yes but it has to conquer a lot of voters both in Televoting and in Jury. Filipa has a beautiful voice and her song is meaningful, emotional and dramatic. I’d like to see her act in the final but it has against the Balkan ballads and in favor that it’s in native language; Portuguese. Portugal will perform 6a in the second semifin

Eurovision 2012: Belarus | Bielorrusia

Image
[I like this version the most than the last one] BELARUS – “WE ARE THE HEROES” – LITESOUND (SF2-05) They picked up a really nice song and then, they just messed up with the arrangements made in the last version, at least to my taste if some day I feel any sympathy for that song, now it’s going down, down, because the final version lost that tasty to me what the winner (runner-up) of “ Eurofest ” got. Belarus goes 5 th after Malta’s song and before the “Fado” from Portugal in the Second Semifi

Eurovision 2012: Albania

Image
ALBANIA – “SUUS” – RONA NISHLIU (SF1-05) “Personal”, according to some websites that’s the meaning of “Suus”, word only known by few people, among them, Rona Nishliu the lyricist. The song is a cry from here to Tirana, I think she was inspired by her personal experiences of life as an Albano-Kosovar, to write those lyrics (it’s what I think) I think so, because she speaks in first person what makes it even more dramatic. Vocally

Eurovision 2012: Latvia | Letonia

Image
LATVIA – “BEAUTIFUL SONG” – ANMARY (SF1-04) It’s a mid-tempo song, that got a little better after the revamping work, with some fun but the chorus could be a bit monotonous after a while, but at the end the song works, you can’t forget it easily. I like it, but it’s not from my top10 of its semifinal, I think it has the probably to reach the final on balance 50/50, the live performance will be its judge; going thru or leaving it. Latvia goes 4 th after the up-tempo song from Greece an

Eurovision 2012: Malta

Image
MALTA – “THIS IS THE NIGHT” – KURT CALLEJA (SF2-04) A Pesar del apellido, no es latino. MALTA – “THIS IS THE NIGHT” – KURT CALLEJA (SF2-04) His last name sounds a little latino, but it’s pronounced in English. Malta this year following the path left by their last representative has chosen an uptempo song, but with the sounds from the past (80s-90s), they’re trying to do t

Eurovision 2012: The Netherlands | Holanda

Image
THE NETHERLANDS – “YOU AND ME” – JOAN FRANCA (SF2-03) For me, one of the great surprises of this year competition, the song is really good from a

Eurovision 2012: Greece | Grecia

Image
GREECE – “APHRODISIAC” – ELEFTHERIA ELEFTHERIOU (SF1-03) I don’t know how, but it seems that Greece will have once again a top10, it has a song that at the beginning didn’t like it that much because it was a kind of cheap, but now I like it very much, there’s something that Greek people put on their bids that always works and we love. The song is a mixed-up of Sensuality, Sexuality and a Catc

Eurovision 2012: Iceland | Islandia.

Image

Eurovision 2012: FYR/ARY Macedonia.

Image
(FYR) MACEDONIA – “CRNO I BELO” – KALIOPI (SF2-02) “Black and White” it’s a balad with rock influences very delicious to hear, at least to me it is, I’m wrapped by it. Kaliopi has a great voice that sounds so great in either ambiences or musical genres. The musical mixed-up is excellent what makes this song even more enjoyable. Despite is 2 nd after Ž eljko’s song, the Macedonian one has “the hook” to make history and go thru the final (I hope) because it’s totally d

Eurovision 2012: United Kingdom | Reino Unido

Image
UNITED KINGDOM: “LOVE WILL SET YOU FREE” BY ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK (F - 01) It’s a Big 5 member, because BBC is one of the 5 bigger contributors of EBU-UER, I think it’s the 2 nd one after NDR from Germany. This year they’ve picked up the experienced voice and established artist like Mr. Engelbert Humperdinck, with a beautiful song, very easy to listen to where the voice of the singer is the main character of the song itself and with a meaningful message on it. Well known in the whole Europe, Humperdinck gives a great chance to the UK to get another top5 this year, or who knows, perhaps the winning luck as well. United Kingdom has won 5 times the ESC and it has the record of have been runner-up not less than 15 times. United Kingdom will be the 1 st song to be presented next May 26 th 2012, in the Baku Crystal Hall in Azerbaijan. REINO UNIDO: “LOVE WILL SET YOU FREE” (EL AMOR TE HARÁ LIBRE) POR ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK (F-01) Parte de los 5 Grandes de Europa; p

Eurovision 2012: Serbia

Image
SERBIA: “NIJE LJUBAV STVAR” (LOVE ISN’T A THING) -  Ž ELJKO JOKSIMOVI Ć (SF2-01) It’s a “it’s not you, it’s me” song, I explain, Ž eljko has composed 3 eurovision songs previously with different flag, but all of them from the Balkans; “Oro” (Serbia 2008), “Lejla” (Bosnia – Herzegovina 2006) and my top favourite from him and sung by him “Lane Moje” (Serbia-Montenegro 2004). “Nije Ljubav Stvar” it’s a good song, but it doesn’t have an easy to remember title and from there it’s a kind of trouble to me. I can easily remember all the previous titles of his songs, but with this I have a kind of affair. Ž eljko has the fame to get a really great place in the final but he has to start the 2nd Semifinal and he is followed by another FYR, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia that for me can take a lot of votes from him, because I feel that the Macedonian song has an easily remember, it grows and it’s more powerful, the Kaliopi’s voice. The second semifinal of this year Eurovision Song

Eurovision 2012: Montenegro

With 42 to listen to and watch (the preview videos) the best is start now, besides there will be days that I won’t post a thing so let’s start. MONTENEGRO: “EURO NEURO” BY RAMBO AMADEUS (S1 – 01) I’m so bad defining musical genres; I think this song is a Balkan rap or something like that.  It’s a love-hate song, there are people who doesn’t get it even me (sometimes, I wonder if I like or dislike lol), despite I like the video and the langue he is using to express his social-ecologist message. The song itself isn’t that bad, it’s unusual for the Festival, but it has nice rhythms and good sound mixing, also it’s not strong and there’s a lack of voters in its semifinal. Montenegro will start a semifinal for the 3rd time in 4 attempts in Eurovision. This year is that 3 rd year opening and Rambo Amadeus will be the 1 st artist on stage next May 22, 2012. The best place to date of the little Balkan republic has been the 11 th place got in the first semi final of the ESC Mos
