Following the line of the big period of time before the ESC, I'm going to talk about one but the best of the National Finals… Melodifestivalen! If you have the face of "Melodifestivalen, wtf?" right now, I'm going to tell you that it's a Song Contest held in Sweden by the Public National Broadcaster, Sveriges Television "Swedish Television" (SVT) as the tool for picking up the Song and the Act, who will represent the country in the upcoming Big European song contest; Eurovision Song Contest.

Being honest with all of you, I'm still a new fan of this Big Show (MF), with almost the same account of fans that the ESC has, I knew it recently thanks to one of the Lovely Swedish Singer/Actress/Mom Linda Bengtzing. I have to say that my very first Melodifestivalen-Schlager song was "Jag ljuger så bra" (I lie very well). My second ever song listened entirely in Swedish language after Agnetha's "En sång om sorg och glädje" (a song about pain and joy), who was linked to ESC and MF, because she belonged to ABBA and they were both winner in Melodifestivalen and Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Waterloo" (In 2005 chose as the best song in 50 years of ESC history)

I think the Melodifestivalen is as big as ESC is, because the expectative it makes us feel before and during the show, and the show itself with the main difference of ESC is held in 3 days of show in one city; 2 Semi finals and the Great Final. And the Melodifestivalen is held in 6 Saturdays in 6 different cities of Sweden, with the following structure: 4 heats, 1 Andra Chansen (Second chance) and the big final in Stockholm.

If you are like me, who likes almost any kind of music, well this show was made for you, you can find from jazz to rock and even heavy metal on it! Sometimes in Swedish but mostly all the songs are in English, however the language of the show is in Swedish, because it's the native language of the Broadcaster and the audience.

The next Melodifestivalen will be held from first Satuday of February to the 2^nd Saturday of March of 2011

Siguiendo la linea del gran perido de tiempo antes del ESC, les voy a hablar sobre uno sino la mejor Final Nacional… Melodifestivalen. Si pusiste cara de “Melodifestivalen – qre? Ahora mismo, te cuento que es un concurso musical llevado a cabo en Suecia por la Radiodifusora pública, Sveriges Television (Televisión Sueca) (SVT) como herramienta para escoger la canción y el acto que participará en el siguiente Eurovision Song Contest representando la nación Nórdica.

Siendo honesto con todos ustedes, soy aún un fan reciente del gran show, con casi el mismo número de fans que tiene el propio ESC, lo conocí gracias a una de las más queridas actrices/cantantes/mamás suecas, Linda Bengtzing. Tengo que decirles que mi primera canción Schlager del Melodifestivalen fue “Jag ljuger så bra” (Yo miento muy bien). Y mi segunda canción nunca antes escuchada enteramente en suco después de la canción de Agnetha, “En sång om sorg och glädje” (una canción sobre el dolor y la alegría), quién está relacionada con ESC y el MF porque ella perteneció a ABBA y ellos fueron ganadores tanto del Melodifestivalen como del Concurso de la Canción de Eurovision con la canción Waterloo (En 2005 elegida como la mejor canción de los 50 años de historia del ESC).

Creo que el Melodifestivalen es tan grande como el ESC, por la expectative que nos hace sentir y por el mismo show con la diferencia de que el ESC se lleva a cabo en 3 días de shows en una sóla ciudad, con 2 semifinales y una Gran Final, y el Melodifestivalen se lleva a cabo en 6 Sábados en 6 diferentes ciudades suecas con la siguiente estructura: 4 semifinales, 1 andra chansen (Segunda Oportunidad) y la Gran Final en Estocolmo.

Si tú eres como yo al que le gusta casi todo tipo de música, este show fue hecho para ti, puedes encontrar desde Jazz hasta Rock e inclusive Heavy Metal! A veces en Sueco pero casi siempre todas las canciones son en Inglés, sin embargo el leguaje del show es el Sueco porque es el idioma de la nación y el canal.

El próximo Melodifestivalen se llevará a cabo en durante todos los Sábados de Febrero y el primero y segundo Marzo de 2011.
